Jelly Shoes Comeback: Really?!

Jelly Shoes...In with the Old
Okay, so we have all seen outrageously ancient clothing/footwear/accessory items  come back into fashion, some stay and some go. It's hard now-a-days to know whats in fashion and whats not as there are not as many 'sheep' these days. A lot of people are experimenting and accepting their own personal style.

However, a new trend for SS12 that I have seen gracing all my favourite clothing websites are Jelly Shoes, YES!, JELLY SHOES. No idea what I'm talking about? Remember this shoes that your parents would buy you for the beach or sunny days? Feel like jelly on your feet, sparkly and in all different colours, oh and hideous? The types of shoes that you would look back at old pictures and say 'Mum I can't believe you let me go out of the house looking like that?!'.

So yes, a few months ago we seen how they perhaps were using the same material and calling them jelly shoes but had a modern take. Then I came across these on a certain website and I swear they look worse than what mine did when I was 3 (see above). Is this really happening? Has the fashion world gone mental? This is certainly a trend I will not be following, ever.

Lazy Day

Today is MayDay. So therefore a bank holiday, it might as well be a normal day of the week for me as I have finished Uni for the semester (woo) and currently I am filling my days working (part-time) or filling in internship applications.
However, I have not moved from my sofa all day as it has been 'mother-daughter' day, where my mother and I have spent the day watching some of our favourite movies. We currently are on movie number 3. Here's a quick run through of our playlist so far:

1. My Best Friends Wedding
2. Uptown Girls
3. Miss Congeniality

I think it's fair to say that it has been a girly movie day with lots of popcorn and chocolate (yum!). At the minute I have a movie OBSESSION. I think I have been to the cinema 3 times this week to see: Gone, American Pie: The Reunion and The Cabin in the Woods. Anyway there will probably be movie reviews to follow but for now I will pass the Pringles and finish watching Miss Congeniality until 9pm when One Tree Hill and Made in Chelsea start. As my Granda used to say I wouldn't be surprised if my eyes were square by the end of the night!
